History of Graphic Design

I took History of Graphic Design in Spring 2022 with Professor Douglass Scott. Two of my class projects are below. The first is a poster about FHK Henrion. The second is an accordion book showing a timeline pertaining to the life and works of Katherine McCoy.

The below project is an accordion timeline displaying the intersections of Katherine McCoy and Werner Jeker’s respective design work and personal lives. As you scroll through the slides, you will learn about how McCoy and Jeker contributed to graphic design through their influential careers. In addition to information about Jeker and McCoy, there are also facts that about specific time periods and designers/artists that influenced McCoy’s design work/style. Although the visual seen on this page is just slides of the accordion, this project is meant to be consumed as a printed booklet that unfolds to reveal the entire timeline.
